At least three stealth vessels of this type served as part of the rogue Federation Section 31's fleet in the mid-23rd century.

Under the command of Section 31 AI Control, they were among the ships that intercepted the USS Discovery and the USS Enterprise near Xahea. These ships were marked as classified in the Federation database and appeared in Star Trek:Discovery episodes "Such Sweet Sorrow" and "Such Sweet Sorrow, Part 2".
