American cars #27 - Ford GT40 MKI (1967) White

The Ford GT40 Mk I was built in the mid-1960s as part of Henry Ford II’s effort to beat Ferrari at endurance racing and is the original version of Ford’s iconic Le Mans–winning race car. The “GT” stands for Gran Turismo, and the “40” refers to its height - just 40 inches tall! Originally designed in England by Ford Advanced Vehicles (FAV), aerodynamics were a major focus and design features included the iconic low-slung nose, wide stance, and rear Kamm tail - instantly recognisable.
